What is TIP (Trauma Integration Protocol)?
TIP (Trauma Integration Protocol) is a powerful somatic healing approach designed to help release trauma, triggers, and PTSD from the body and nervous system — not just the mind.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, TIP works directly with the autonomic nervous system (ANS), which is where trauma is stored and where our survival responses (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) live. This is done in a safe, guided relationship with a trained practitioner who supports you every step of the way.
How it works
TIP sessions are done without medication at first. While medicine-assisted sessions are possible later on, most clients find that the natural process alone is extremely effective — and rarely feel the need to add medicine afterward.
During a session, we gently block or “inhibit” our usual coping strategies (like trying to control breathing, swallowing, or moving intentionally). When we stop trying to manage or suppress the body’s response, something powerful happens: the body is finally able to release the stored survival energy from past traumatic events.
This often looks like:
✅ Tremoring
✅ Shaking
✅ Involuntary movements
✅ Waves of heat, emotion, or energy releasing
All of this happens slowly, with a strong focus on safety, support, resourcing, and staying present in the moment. You are never pushed past what your system can handle.
Why this works
Trauma lives in the body as stored charge. When that charge is released, the traumatic event loses its grip on your system. You may still remember what happened, but it no longer controls your reactions or keeps you stuck in survival mode.
What you may experience after TIP
✅ Triggers that once felt overwhelming lose their intensity
✅ PTSD symptoms begin to lessen or resolve completely
✅ More freedom in how you respond instead of react
✅ Increased sense of safety in your body
✅ A more regulated nervous system
✅ Greater emotional resilience and ease in daily life
Many people begin noticing changes within just a few sessions, although deeper or layered traumas may require more time.
We focus less on the story — and more on your body’s truth in the present moment
Rather than retelling your trauma over and over, TIP prioritizes what your nervous system is communicating right now. By allowing the body to complete what it never got to finish during a traumatic experience, deep healing becomes possible.
